The Guggenheim collection is based on the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao designed by the Canadian architect Frank O. Gehry in his deconstructivist style. The collection tries to represent small fragments of this structure’s somewhat cold appearance due to its covering of titanium plates. The building’s textured metal scale-like covering changes color with different light intensities throughout the day. The kyanite stone represents the blue skylight above the building.
