Tanzanite

Tanzanite was discovered in the late 1960s in Tanzania, and found exclusively in this tiny area of the world. It exhibits a rich violet-blue color for which the gemstone is treasured.
All purple and blue varieties of the stone are the result of heat treatment. The stone is a yellowish-brown "bug juice" color when it is mined, but when heated to between 800-900 degrees Fahrenheit, it becomes that gorgeous violet blue that is used in jewelry.
It provides clear, healthy expression of love and connection to Spirit. Tremendously powerful for all those working with higher energies and it increases access to and enhancement of your connection to your Highest Consciousness.
Tanzanite is the birthstone for the month of December.
